When we first spoke, Jeremy and Wife envisioned a home that radiated modern elegance while remaining practical for everyday living — a haven that balanced minimalism with warmth and character. Armed with this vision, we set out to create a design that would transform their living space into a harmonious retreat.
Now, the transformed living space tells an entirely different story. The room is enveloped in soft, neutral tones, with off-white walls and light wood flooring that amplify the natural light streaming through sheer curtains. Floating shelves with integrated lighting to showcase curated collectibles that reflect the couple’s personalities, adding both functionality and a personal touch. The dining area now features a sleek, rounded table paired with comfortable chairs, perfectly complementing the minimalist aesthetic. Together, these thoughtful design choices create a harmonious and inviting environment that truly feels like home.

Much thought had gone into planning the lighting design. Throughout the home, recessed ceiling lights were used to provide even illumination. The pendant lamp above the dining table adds a focal point and the subtle backlighting along the display shelves and wall niche enhances the depth and dimension of the space, accentuating the framed art pieces and decorative figurines.
Thoughtful Zoning
Despite the compact size of the apartment, the layout is thoughtfully designed for comfortable practicality. The cozy sofa faces the sleek, wall-mounted TV and concealing any unsightly wirings. Nearby, the dining nook features a custom-built banquette paired with a rounded table, maximizing seating without overwhelming the space. This thoughtful zoning makes the living room equally suited for relaxing evenings or intimate gatherings with friends and families.
